canada chapter eventsThe Adventures in Travel Expos and Great Canadian Adventure Travel Shows brought African exhibits to 10 major markets in 2005 and all are booked for repeat performances with the ATA Africa Travel Magazine exhibit providing a wealth of current information. African Road Shows are winning friends for Africa Tourism across North America. We enjoy hosting Africans in North America, building bridges and making our African colleagues feel at home. The Kenya Tourist Board sent a group of Safari Operators and tourism officials on a 5- City Road Show, starting in Vancouver Canada, then on to Seattle, San Francisco, LA and Las Vegas. TANZANIA,EMBARKS ON PROMOTIONAL TOUR TO LOS ANGELES, DENVER AND HOUSTON

(New York, April 11, 2005) Team Tanzania embark on a US Promotional Tour focusing on some of the key tourism generating markets in the Western part of the country: Los Angeles, Denver and Houston. The delegation included Peter Mwenguo, Managing Director, Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB); Gerald Bigurube, Director General, Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA); and also from TANAPA, James Lembeli, Public Relations Manager and Joseph Kessy, Head of Planning.

The Tanzania Tourist Board is also one of the most active groups marketing across North America, whose most recent Road Show event was in Southern California, hosted by ATA SoCal chapter. At a previous six-city promotion, Tanzania's Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism. Mrs. Zakia Meghji also led a delegation of tour operators and suppliers to tourism trade shows and seminars in Calgary, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. New York and Atlanta.
