Symposium, October 30 to November 4, 2005
Every
major event organized by the Africa Travel
Association (ATA )and hosted by a different African
Country is another step in Africa's march towards a
better future through tourism The benefits to the
host country are substantial at the time, but the
real growth occurs in the months and years
following the conference. The first Ecotourism
Symposium was in Saly/ Dakar Senegal in 1992 and
our most recent was in Kampala, Uganda at the
personal invitation of President Museveni. Other
noteworthy events in this fall series brought us
the Fez Declaration, which provides a blueprint for
success.
