WHAT:
The Third Annual Africa
Presidential Forum presents an opportunity for
Heads of State, attending annual UN General
Assembly Meetings in New York, to present their
travel and tourism product to an audience of 200
guests from diplomacy, tourism, business, media,
and education, as well as to consumer and travel
industry trade media. ATA members&emdash;tourism
ministers, tourism boards, airlines, hoteliers,
travel agents and operators, media, PR firms, NGOs,
and SME's&emdash;will also participate in the
event.
BACKGROUND:
In just three years, the
Forum has become a one-of-a-kind event on the
international travel industry calendar. At the 2006
inaugural Forum, the Heads of State of Nigeria and
Tanzania launched the event with an audience of 100
travel industry experts; in 2007, eight leaders
from Benin, Cape Verde, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi,
Rwanda and Tanzania, as well as the African Union,
spoke to 200 travel experts and
specialists.
We are pleased with the
positive response we continue to receive from
participating Heads of State and Tourism Ministers
and other key players in the travel and
tourism-related industries.
