President
Mira Berman draws on a diversity
of talents in directing successful advertising and
public relation programs for the the agency's
international, national and regional accounts. Ms
Berman brings to each client a fresh individuality
and wealth of expertise gathered through her
twenty-five years in marketing
communications.
A writer, musician, author and
marketing expert, Ms Berman has demonstrated
outstanding talent in all areas of marketing
communications. She was elected Advertising Woman
of the year in 1971. In both 1971 and 1972, The
International Film and TV Festival warded her
Television's Gold Medal; and in 1973, she was
recipient of the International Film & TV
Festival's Grand Award for the production Israel 25
- A Celebration, a two-hour special, which was
aired on the ABC Network and subsequently
syndicated.
Prior to her association with
The Bradford Group, Ms Berman served as Senior Vice
President of the Lavenson Bureau of Advertising,
handling a variety of accounts over a nine-year
period. A regular lecturer for the American
Management Association, Ms Berman was co-chairman
with Malcom P. McNair, then Lincoln Filene
Professor of Retailing at Harvard's Graduate School
of Business, of the AMA sponsored Conference on
Marketing through Retailing.
The Book, Marketing Through
Retailers, edited by Professor McNair and Ms Berman
was published in the U.S. Mexico and Japan. Ms
Berman was co-chairman with Walter H. Johnson,
vice-chairman of Saturday Review/World, of the AMA
Conference on Managing Profit and Growth in World
Travel and Tourism. AMA also invited her to chair a
seminar on "Doing Business With Israel", and as a
speaker at a seminar on investment opportunities in
Cuba. Ms Berman was later appointed to the faculty
of the New School for Social Research, teaching in
the Master Degree program in Tourism & Travel
Administration; she expanded her teaching to
include a fundraising management course for the
Master Degree Program of the Department of
Fundraising.
Ms Berman is listed in Who's Who
in America, Who's Who in American Women, Who's Who
in advertising, The Financial Publicists Directory,
and Foremost Women in Communications. She served
two terms on the National Advertising Review Board
as a representative of the American Association of
Advertising Agencies.
Ms Berman has taught
workshops/seminars on Public Relations, Advertising
and Radio and Television Advertising at the annual
ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) Congress
and at the regional ASTA workshops around the
country.
Ms Bermam served as President of
SATH (The Society for the Advancement of Travel for
the Handicapped); President of the New York Chapter
of ATA (Africa Travel Association); Executive
Director of NATA (North American Travel
Association); and WEXITA (Women Executive
International Tourism Association). She is past
director of The National Council of Women of the
United States (NCW/us), and Executive Director of
the American Friends of the Jerusalem Center for
Psychiatric and Geriatric Treatment and
Rehabilitation.
Ms. Berman is currently
Executive Director of the Africa Travel Association
(ATA) a travel industry association responsible for
promoting travel and tourism from North America to
Africa. Under her leadership, she has incorporated
a one-day Trade and Investment Seminar as part of
the Annual ATA Congress attended by public and
private sectors of African Countries. This has
opened the doors to developing new business
opportunities between American and African
enterprises. For the first time she has attracted
corporate sponsorships for ATA congress activities
such a Revlon, AT&T, AMERICAN EXPRESS and
Engen.
She also serves as the executive
director of the Academy of Tourism Organizations
(ATO) and their Annual NOAH Awards Luncheon; as
project consultant for Accessible Travel and
Hospitality; Israel Heritage/Abba Eban PBS TV
series; as project director for the Society for the
Advancement of Travel for the Handicapped (SATH)
and their Travelers With Disabilities Awareness
Week.

bicentennial event sponsored by "Philadelphia Style
200, Inc." the official Bicentennial Fashion
Authority and the Philadelphia Fashion Group,
Inc.
In the Philadelphia
Style
Co-Produced a special 28-minute
film portraying 200 years of Philadelphia Styles
and Fashion. Together with a live stage
presentation - a fashion show covering the same era
of Philadelphia fashions. H.S.H.. Princess of
Monaco and Eugene Ormandy, Conductor of the
Philadelphia Orchestra narrated the
film.
Fashion Week in Tel
Aviv
An annual event. The major
Annual ISRAEL trade show in which all ready-to-wear
and accessory manufacturers participate. The
Fashion Center of the Israel Export Institute
sponsors this event.
Mishkenot Shaananim
Produced and staged the opening
and JERUSALEM festivities for the Cultural Center
in Jerusalem, founded by Mayor Teddy Kollek of
Jerusalem, produced a 20-minute, 16MM film of
Mishkenot Shaananim Festivities.
