Biggest Enviro-Business Expo, Globe 2006,
Vancouver, Canada, March 29-31

Globe event for the past 12 years. Several African
cities were feaures in this outstanding, world
class event.
GLOBE 2006 TRADE FAIR
TO FEATURE WORLD FIRSTS IN SUSTAINABLE
TECHNOLGIES
Vancouver, B.C. - The
next generation of transportation and building
solutions will be unveiled to the public later this
month at the GLOBE 2006 trade fair by more than 400
leaders in environmental technologies, services,
and solutions from around the world. GLOBE 2006
will take place at the Vancouver Convention and
Exhibition Centre from March 29th to 31st and
attracts world leaders and industry pioneers to
Canada.
GLOBE 2006 will
feature the world's most advanced energy efficient
vehicles from top manufacturers, with some
automobiles making their world debuts. Included
in this is Honda's FCX fuel cell vehicle, which
will be available for delegate "ride and drives"
throughout the conference. Also featured on the
Trade Fair floor will be vehicle displays by Fuel
Cells Canada and Transport Canada, while Golder
Associates will be exhibiting a Formula Zero
Concept Car.
Sustainable
construction is another focus of this year's trade
fair. World-class products will be on display at
the Sustainable Construction Showcase, with
exhibits featuring Sustainable Building Design and
Construction Systems, Green Building Products,
Energy Conservation Systems, and New Technologies
Designed to Reduce Waste and Greenhouse Gas
Emissions.
The Sustainable
Construction showcase will highlight innovative
structural and installed components that are
currently being used in green buildings. These
include exterior cladding, roofing, heating,
ventilation and air-conditioning systems, energy
supply systems, as well as energy-saving
construction materials (plastic, concrete, wood and
steel). Participants in the showcase include
private and public sector companies, research
organizations, technology development centres,
government agencies, and information providers
concerned with sustainable construction and green
building technology.
In addition to the
Transportation Technologies and Sustainable
Construction showcases, GLOBE 2006 offers trade
fair visitors new international pavilions to visit.
This year, pavilions from Austria, Korea, France,
Wales and Holland have been added to complement
returning pavilions including the US, United
Kingdom, Ontario and Western Canada.
GLOBE 2006 is
organized by the GLOBE Foundation, an international
consultancy in the business of the environment.
GLOBE's expertise lies in project management, event
development, and management and consulting in the
fields of environment and energy, urban development
and corporate responsibility. The ninth event in
the GLOBE series will be held March 29-31 at the
Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre.
