The first golf event of
its kind, the World Interclub Challenge will
take place at South Africa's premier golf
resort, Fancourt Hotel and Country Estate in
November 2002. Operated by EasyGolf
Tours & Safaris, in conjunction with Dale
Hayes Golf Events, the World Interclub Challenge
is open to all golfers. The competition invites
entries from all over the world with the only
stipulation being that members of each 4-ball
entry belong to the same home club. No qualifying rounds
prior to arrival in South Africa are necessary.
The Interclub Challenge will offer 1 practice
round, 2 tournament rounds and a grand final.
Each round offers the opportunity to win spot
prizes for the day's best shot, the longest
drive, nearest the pin etc with a Betterball
Stableford format determining the ultimate
winner. The Interclub Challenge
will be hosted at Fancourt Hotel and Country
Estate, home of the President's Cup 2003. The
surrounding area offers a host of activities for
spouse and no-golfers. Accommodation will be
offered at Fancourt as well as at the nearby
Lake Pleasant and Protea King George
Hotel. The package price of
US$990.00 is per person sharing on a dinner, bed
and breakfast basis and includes all golf. The
spouse or non-golfers package includes 2 full
day and 2 _ day sightseeing excursion and 2 spa
