The year-long Fundi program consists of two parts. The first part, composed of eight modules, forms the core of the training, and includes a geographical and cultural overview of the destination; detailed information on selling South Africa as well as her neighbors in Southern Africa;comprehensive information on the variety of travel experiences for which South Africa is renowned, across all the provinces; in-depth information on the country's first class infrastructure and facilities; and essential information on pre-planning issues such as visas, weather conditions, health and safety, etc., along with pointers on good itinerary planning.

The second part of the course focuses on the Fundi information guide, detailing helpful resources for travel agents and tour operators in the following areas: Arts and Culture, Wild and Wonderful, Sport and Adventure,Recreation, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE). Additionally, all participants receive a Fundi travel bag containing the information guide, a print file of the eight program modules, a digital promotional film (on CD) on South Africa, CD versions of the entire Fundicourse and guide books, sample promotional materials such as brochures and posters, and a free gift.
