American associations
and corporations spend over US $110 billion in
meetings annually. In this session, you will
understand how US organizers select meeting venues
and local partners. Currently, there are
approximately 45,000 associations based in the USA,
each organizing anywhere from 5 - 120 meetings each
year. The majority are located in Washington DC
(Association Capital of the USA), Chicago and New
York. About 46% of them organize international
meetings, according to a State of the Industry
Report by Deloitte and Touche.
Dr. Sigler will give an
overview of the American association and corporate
meetings market after which she will interview
members of her panel consisting of association

will be opportunity for questions and answers.
