NOW OVER 1,500 PAGES!
THIS SITE #1 IN YAHOO TOP 20 WEB RESULTS
FROM 5,000,000 ENTRY SEARCH

When you search for information on travel and tourism to the Continent of Africa, chances are a page from this web site will appear in the top 20. Want proof? Search the Internet using the words "Africa travel" on North America's leading search engines, Google and Yahoo. Our ATA home page usually appears in the top five ... and lately it has been in the top two. A key reason for this success is its wealth of content. As official site of the Africa Travel Association, we have many African Travel Ministers on our Board of Directors. Their Ministries provide us with an abundance of current material in both English and French. As a result this web site now offers more than 1,100 pages from which our readers can chose.

Joining the African Ministers on our ATA Board of Directors are key executives from Airlines, Hotel Chains and Tour Companies serving Africa and targeting North America. In African countries that are not in the limelight, ours is one of the few sites that carry stories, profiles or items. Thanks to such a wealth of positive, non political, no-spin material, and the ease of navigating our site, the number of hits (measuring site activity) have soared to over 25,000 per day, millions per year, while our length of time per visitor session has averaged up to 15 minutes.

The above information from Webtrends presents an accurate picture of the ATA web site; who is reading our material, where they are from geographically, which search engines they used, and which topics are read most. Webtrends also provides demographics and other data which helps our management in mapping an editorial strategy for the site and the printed version of Africa Travel Magazine (right).

We thank you for viewing this site, and welcome your comments on topics you would like to see.
