The Loango Project in Gabon

Operation Loango combines luxurious accommodation in a safe and untouched environment together with the excitement of being part of a larger eco-system. Gorilla's, whales, sea turtles, porky pines and birds and butterflies can be found in and around five lodge- and bushcamp sites, in and around Petit Loango National Park in Gabon.

Situated at the west coast of Africa, adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and Congo, it is one of the best-kept secrets to nature and adventure lovers. With an enormous diversity of landscapes such as rainforest, savannahs, wetlands and beaches, it is the land of Albert Schweitzer and homeland for Operation Loango.

Operation Loango want you to experience the real Africa in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. To assure you that, we operate our own secure planes (Beech 1900 D, Cessna 208 B Grand Caravanne), boats and 4x4's, all meeting the latest safety requirements.

Being guest of Operation Loango means:

* Visiting a unique spot in the word

* Having a safe and secure pure africa experience

* Seeing elephants and buffalos on the beach

* To have the possiblity to see Whales, Turtles and Gorillas

* To have 2 safaris a day and all meals included
