From the owners of Africa Travel Magazine and Destination Tanzania as a Corporate Partnership and/or Consortium. The name of this consortium will be “AT Media Africa” and our first jointly owned project will be a magazine insert called “Swahili Scene.”

Mission Statement:
"We have combined forces and talents to create and produce a series of publications and related products that will benefit Africa and provide gainful employment for our staff and contributors. On a wider level, we will embark on one or more humanitarian projects.”

Analysis of our current strengths
• Capable and dedicated core of talent.
• Excellent track record with advertisers
• Creative method of distribution.
• Powerful credentials through government and travel industry associations.
• Many channels of distribution and options available to us.
• Powerful websites that generate over 12 million hits annually.
• Ability to sell and make presentations (on the official panel) at many key events hosted by ourselves, plus the African Travel Association and its partners.
• Ability to effectively tap the Meetings, Incentive Travel and Conferfence Market in the United States and Canada.

Analysis of our current weaknesses
• Little or no revenue derived from sale of our magazines at newsstands, by subscriptions or bulk reprint orders.
• Not enough penetration (sales) in the North American market.
• Must vastly improve communications (fast modems) and exchange of materials between offices via e-mail.
• Must vastly improved computer systems for production, sales records and financial reporting.
• Destination Tanzania is not written for the North American market, and thus is not sharing fully in the financial and advertising opportunities.
• The Advertising Rate Card lacks information and options for various sizes
• The magazine is not appealing to the reader because the ratio of advertising to editorial is too high, and advertisers are crammed together. This may be remedied by creating a "Marketplace Section” that organizes the ads into categories and allows for some classified display pages and coupons. More use of "island' half and third pages would allow a better flow of type and reduce the clutter.

Competition
• Study underway on regional competition in Africa.

Opportunities
• Greater and enhanced distribution of complimentary copies.
• New profit centers from magazine sales, plus new products and services.
• A truly exciting list of editorial topics advertised well in advance. Try to standout from the crowd. This will enhance our ability to generate sales and expand distribution channels, reach and influence.

Management Structure
• Slightly different ownership for the three unique publications.

• Mr. Gerald Walter Bird will assume the role of Administrator for all three publications. His main contribution will involve sales strategy, distribution, financial/bottom line management, production quality control and editorial policy. He will also contribute as an editor and writer.

• Mr. Renatus Masasi will work closely with Mr. Bird and will be the liaison with the owner/publisher Mr. Patrick Chakalo, currently the Tanzanian Ambassador to Russia.

• Ms. Muguette Goufrani will generate advertising sales and editorial /advertorial features for Africa Travel Magazine. She will also sell advertising for the other two magazines, mainly in the United States, Canada and Francophone countries worldwide.

• The editor of Destination Tanzania will work closely with Mr. Renatus Masasi to provide original articles and b background material as required.
