SUN International Zambia's Royal Livingstone Hotel has been recognised as one of the Best Hotels in the World according to the 18th annual edition of the Travel + Leisure's 2013 World's Best Awards.

Royal Livingstone Hotel, which is a five-star hotel, is one of the seven official hotels which will host the 20th session of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) General Assembly in August this year.

During the year 2012, Royal Livingstone Hotel was named as one of the 500 best hotels in the world.

Sun International Zambia general manager Joanne Selby said it was an honour that the hotel was recognised as one of the top resorts in Africa.

Lauded for its spectacular location near the Victoria Falls and Zambezi River, the hotel offers travelers a gracious combination of sophistication and sheer opulence.

Last year, Royal Livingstone Hotel also topped the global poll and it was voted Zambia's leading hotel in the 2012 World Travel Awards (WTA).
