Major U.S. Companies to Attend Libya-USA Enterprise Conference

Washington, DC: In recent weeks, interest among American companies in potential business opportunities in Libya has soared. Several key Fortune 500 companies recently announced plans to attend the July 14-15 Libya-U.S. Libya Enterprise Conference in Washington DC. Organized by New Fields Exhibitions, a leading information provider on emerging markets, the event will provide business leaders with vital information on how to do business in Libya.

Registered attendees currently include representatives from General Electric, Shell, KBR Limited, Foster Wheeler, Parsons Group International Ltd., and other U.S. companies. The Libya-U.S. Enterprise Conference will include expert analysis of the political, economic and legal climate in Libya as well as detailed information on how to do business in this new market.

"We are excited by the level of interest in the Libya-U.S. Enterprise Conference shown by the business comunity," said Samir Farajallah, President and CEO of New Fields. "This will be the most significant public forum on business opportunities in Libya since the suspension of sanctions in April. Opportunities like this are rare, and our Libya-U.S. Enterprise Conference will be an excellent first look at this new market."

Following July's event, New Fields plans to hold NEFEXPO.4 in Libya's capital, Tripoli, on October 10-13. NEFEXPO.4 will feature buyers and distributors from throughout Libya seeking American products.
